TruAge Age Therapy Daily Facial Cleanser and A.G.E. Therapy GelReview and Thoughts

Anti-aging is a goldmine in the beauty industry. From peeling to filling, under the knife or topical, women will do everything come hell or high water to defy age. While I haven’t subjected myself to any surgery or botox injection yet, I won’t deny that I do take extra steps to preserve the elusive fountain of youth via  meticulous skincare.

AGE-Protection-Gel-081242585758-pinBB-21E23235I had the chance to try TruAge Age Therapy Daily Facial Cleanser and A.G.E Therapy Gel, both of which claim to repair and reduce AGEs damage in the skin. AGEs is short for advanced glycation end products. In principle, they are composed of protein and sugar wherein excess sugar will fuse with protein to attack healthy cells in the body which inevitably leads to premature aging. I know it’s another buzzword or marketing jargon to comprehend. At the end of the day, it all boils down to personal preference and skin acceptance. Meaning, you like the product because your skin reacts well to it.

Lather and fragrance-free, Age Therapy Daily Facial Cleanser does the job (cleansing that is) without stripping skin’s natural moisture. It comes in a squeeze-type tube and since it’s very liquid-y I tend to use more than what’s needed. It has noni fruit juice and seed oil which work as antioxidants. Overall, it’s a nice cleanser worth checking out if you want to break away from overly promoted mainstream brands.

Age Therapy Gel claims to protect, soothe and repair but if you ask me what immediate results I’ve had, it would be tightened pores and supple skin right after application. Used alone or under moisturizer, I use it twice daily and so far I am liking what I am seeing! It’s un-tinted and gets absorbed onto the skin pretty fast. It has noni juice, extracts from cherry, olive leaf, cranberry and blueberry (protect against free radicals), oat kernel (soothes and reduces redness/irritation), and carnosine (promotes health skin cells and fights glycation).
